Here in Trishal usually the main problem is you have to be familiar to work in the darkness like a bat. Why? Let me explain.
I have been here for nearly six months. I can hardly remember a day when I got full power supply whole day. Sometimes, it seems horrible. After all that hard work in the office when I come back to my house, as usually I find myself in the darkness. No lights! No fan!
In the village, naturally night comes early. Even at eight you can see very few people on the road. The road from the market to my house is deeply silent and dark. I feel frightened to come to home. When I get home, I have to work with my laptop. Thank God that my laptop has a back up for more than two hours. But after two hours!  I have to see my laptop is wanrning me. It only 12 minutes left. Critical low battery.. I eagerly wait for the electricity to come back, how poor I am! It does not listen to me. The charger lights are dead. The torch is deeming. Now the candles are the only hope. Candle burns. I study. But few minutes later I feel that I am not studying rather I feel nostalgic.
When I first came to Trishal, being the bravest girl in Bangladesh (according to my supervisor), I first though to set up IPS in my room. Later, I had to given up the idea because the electricity is too frequently gone to make the IPH charged. So, what could I do? I thought to buy many charger-lights and torch as if I can use them one after another. At the beginning, it was hot summer days. I had to open the windows whole night. Behind the window there is the green paddy field and other vegetable garden. I had chosen this house for these two reasons, as I can live in the middle of the green Bangla and I can open the windows to see the blue sky and to feel the fresh air blowing. But now I have to open the window but I can not feel the fresh air blowing rather all the mosquitoes are singing around my ear! How tragic! Sometimes, I can see the moon is peeping through the window which mitigates the pain for a while. I keep on waiting…
